Walk And Talk Therapy
Therapy that moves with you
Walk & Talk Therapy is a simple but powerful alternative to traditional counselling. Instead of sitting indoors, we walk side by side in a calm, natural setting — creating space to talk, reflect, and breathe. Many people find that walking helps conversations flow more naturally, making it easier to open up.
Why Choose Walk & Talk?
- Gentle movement reduces stress and helps clear the mind.
- Fresh air and nature provide a calming, restorative backdrop.
- Side-by-side conversation can feel less intense than sitting face-to-face.
- A relaxed setting makes counselling feel more approachable.
How it works
- Sessions last 50 minutes, just like a traditional counselling session.
- We agree a safe, accessible route in or around Frome, Somerset.
Example walking routes:
You set the pace — whether a slow stroll or a brisker walk.
If the weather isn’t suitable, we’ll have a plan B (reschedule, move online, or arrange an indoor space).
Confidentiality & Safety
Your privacy matters. Whilst I’ll do my best to choose routes that are calm and allow us to talk confidentially without being overheard, walking outside in public does run the risk of people walking past in close proximity.
I’ll always check in with you about what feels safe and comfortable.
Who is it for?
Walk & Talk Therapy can be helpful for anyone who feels more at ease outside, or who finds it difficult to talk in a traditional therapy room.
I work with adults (18+) experiencing challenges such as:
- Stress, anxiety, and panic attacks
- Depression or low mood
- Loss, grief, or bereavement
- Relationship difficulties
- Low self-confidence or self-esteem
- Life transitions or feeling “stuck”
It’s also for those who simply want space to reflect, gain perspective, or talk through life’s ups and downs in a supportive environment.
