FAQ’s

What clothing / footwear should I wear?

Dress appropriately for the weather.   Wearing comfortable footwear is important. For days where rain showers are forecast, it  would be a good idea to bring a small backpack to store a waterproof jacket.

Do I need to be fit?

No, the pace will be set by you (the client) as much as possible and routes will be planned taking into account any fitness concerns.

What if the weather is bad?

I will have checked out the route in advance considering general suitability for walking and maintaining confidentiality within reason. Although I am happy to walk in most weather conditions, if we agree that the weather is not suitable for our session (due to heavy rain, strong winds) we will either re-schedule the session or move to online.

Will our sessions be confidential?

Yes, as with face-to-face therapy sessions, all that we talk about will be kept strictly confidential between us in accordance to the BACP ethical framework which I adhere to as a registered practitioner. Confidentiality may only be broken if I feel you are at serious risk to yourself or others.

Will we be overheard in public?

Whilst we will do our best to avoid being overheard, this can’t be guaranteed whilst being out in a public space. It’s something to be mindful of.

What if I need to cancel?

Please give me as much notice as possible. Cancellations need to be made a minimum of 24 hours before our session time to avoid full payment being charged. If it is due to the weather, then no charge will be made.
