About

“I’m David, a BACP-qualified counsellor offering a different kind of therapy — one that moves with you.”

I became a BACP-qualified counsellor because I care deeply about supporting people through life’s challenges. My own journey has taught me the value of having someone alongside you in difficult times.

I trained at the City of Bath College, completing Levels 2, 3, and a Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling. Since then, I’ve combined the skills from my training with my own belief in the healing power of nature. This is why I created Counselling in Motion, based near Frome, Somerset — offering therapy that moves with you.

Nature has always been a source of strength for me, and I believe that combining counselling with the outdoors creates a safe, calming space for reflection, healing, and growth.

I work with adults (18+) and have experience supporting people with a wide range of needs, including:

  • Depression and low mood
  • Anxiety, stress, and panic attacks
  • Low self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Bereavement and grief
  • Relationship difficulties and life transitions
  • Loss of direction, identity, or career
  • Experiences of mental abuse

I also offer space for those who may not have a specific difficulty but simply want the opportunity to walk and talk with someone in nature — making time to pause, reflect, and reconnect with themselves.
